No gym while traveling? No problem!
As things continue to open up and we start getting out and traveling more, this is the perfect time to get creative and mix things up with your fitness routine.
One of my favorite ways to explore a new place is by going on a run, hike or bike ride with a little circuit training mixed in.
Whether you’re on a beach or mountain vacay, there are so many great ways to get a good workout in and make the most of your new locale.
Here are a few tips for staying active on the move:
Have fun with it! Don’t expect it to be the same as your home routine or try to replicate it.
Embrace your new surroundings! Check out local parks, beach walks or hikes to check out and explore.
Create mini circuits on the grass or beach. Pick 4-6 movements working different areas of the body, repeat 2-3 times and you’re set!
When in Rome...try out a local class, guided hike or outdoor yoga to get a feel for living like a local.
Use what you’ve got around you. I’m talking rocks from the river, logs for step ups, park benches, sand for balance...the world is your playground!
Never underestimate the power of a mini band and a water bottle. Seriously. You bring these things with you, you’re golden!
